San Diego Border Patrol has kept the U.S. side of Friendship Park closed since year-end 2019.

Families and friends who rely on this historic meeting place to reunite with their loved ones for decades have not been able to do so for ALMOST FOUR YEARS.
​
More recently, U.S. Border Patrol officials have indicated that they will reopen the park for weekend "visiting hours" after the current construction of new border walls is complete.
