Voice of San Diego Border Report: The Case for More Access to Friendship Park — Not Less


There’s always something happening at Friendship Park — at least on the Mexican side. Families taking in the sunset, merchants selling street food, tourists snapping pictures by the wall. The park on the U.S. side has been closed since February 2020. Now, CBP has announced its intention to strengthen fencing on the westernmost stretch of the border. And opponents of the project have been stepping up their protests.
