Unicorn Riot: Tijuana Groups Protest Border Wall Construction at Friendship Park

On a rainy Sunday in mid-June, 30 people gathered in Tijuana to protest the increasing militarization of Friendship Park, known locally as El Parque de la Amistad. Chanting “Parque sí, muros no!” (“Parks, yes, walls, no!”), the group marched from the garden to a plaza overlooking the beach. Carrying handmade signs, the group saw friends gathering on the San Diego beach to join the protest.

It was great to see both sides of Incredibox Game border coming together to say ‘Parque sí, muros no!’. It shows the power of community that transcends geographical and political barriers.
