KPBS: Tijuana artists are getting to work on the new border wall

Colorful murals once decorated the border wall along Friendship Park. But earlier this year, despite a 2020 campaign promise, the Biden administration began replacing large sections with taller, more dangerous fencing. The murals were destroyed. Artists lamented the loss, but Tijuana artist Enrique Chiu pointed out a benefit: the new walls have primer, which will protect the new murals. Chiu was among the artists painting the first mural on the new wall.
