Divided By the Wall: Life on the U.S.-Mexico Border

Italian journalist Federico Leoni accompanied two women through Border Field State Park to the border, where they would meet their parents face-to-face for the first time in many years. On the beach, the women were forced to stay 30 yards north of the border wall. They could only see their parents' faces on their cell phone screens. Overcome by emotion, one of the women ran to the wall to reach through barbed wire and touch her weeping mother's hand.
