The decision to finish the Trump border wall at Friendship Park feels disheartening, especially since this site has been a vital place for families to connect across borders. It's troubling that there won't be a pedestrian gate, which would allow families to meet more freely. As someone who values the importance of community spaces, I wonder how this will impact those who cherish this park for its ability to bring people together.
